Hey Richard!
I misunderstood the fertility question. By all means, if you can have two healthy infants instead of seven possibly disabled, then I have no problem with that, also, they can use the stem cells for research into many different diseases.
As far as a rape victim goes, that must remain in the area of choice, as should incest. Each one of these is a conscience decision. Richard, like it or not it is a human life and we have gotten to the point now that life is way too cheap and taken too easily, don't you think so? Unjustified killing is a sin.
When the difference between a preemie baby and a aborted fetus is a few inches down the tubes then we are splitting hairs on what we call human! What I can't stand is the NOW assertion that it is not human until it's birthed!
Do you know what one of pet peeves are? People who are dead set against ANY cpaital punishment yet are supporters of abortion on demand.

Now that was a great diatribe, Somebody! Farkel did some researcha while back on various charities and the one with the highest percentage of donations going to those who need it was Satan's Salvation Army.
I wonder why we have never seen Jehovah's Witnesses Memorial Hospital anywhere, even in the most desperate parts of the world? I once asked a question at the Watchtower study, (the paragraph told us how the JWs in some African country met in an open field) "Why doesn't the Society donate the money they need for a Kingdom Hall?"
Er, uhhhhhhh, I'll get back to you on that.

Lying Jerk just about tells the tale.....

Thank you for the sincere comments and expression of apology. That takes real humility and compassion. I am not a JW anymore and I don't agree with the Society. When I use the term, 'apostate', I use it in it's real definition: "one who has abandoned God and the Bible".
I reserve the term for atheists and some agnostics.
I think it is horrible for people to come on here and give the Society ammunition. Kent is one of the worst and all of his buddies excuse his behavior. I also blame the guy who provides this platform for vulgarity to exist in it's present state.
H2O had a lot more class.

Hi Rich,
Billygoat nailed the photo down. He is right about the circumstances surrounding the child and mother. Gosh, Richard, have you ever seen how even 2 or 3 month fetus' look?
I am not against choice if it is life or death. The mom wins hands down but that is a rare situation.>Rex, did you know that even the JWs are not 100% against abortion? They allow it for tubular pregnacies.
>Rex, what is your opinion on:
abortion for tubular pregnacies;See the above.
>abortion for rape victums;
Nope, not the baby's fault, give it to adoption if not wanted.
>abortion for rape victums that are 12 years old;
Will it severly endanger her health? See above.
>the morning after pill;
IUDs;culling when fertility pills make the mother pregnant with seven babies?Nope to all three.
>You might want to email me privately to avoid being flamed. We can discuss it privately.
Richard
Thanks for the option but they really don't bother me. They usually come to the 'gunfight' with a 'butterknife'! ;-)
BTW, abortion is just a sin, no worse than any other. A sincere, repentant person is forgiven.

LDH,
Why didn't you ask me instead of just jumping in with a knee-jerk reaction?
The famous picture was of a woman who had her belly cut open for some kind of surgery, a doctor was tending to the baby and the child had it's hand wrapped around the doctor's finger.
BTW, why is it that all of the pro-abortionists hate to see the films that show the procedures they support? Think about that for a while.
Bye, bye
Rex
P.S. See what I mean, Richard? -

Hi Richard,
I got your e-mail. Does it seem to you as if this forum is mostly for flaming and not discussion?
"The Holy Spirit will teach you all things". Perhaps the general consensus against those things is a work of the H.S., indwelling those who are saved? It seems as if we picked up a few moral guidelines during the 'Great Awakening' (a revival from the 19th century that swept the world).
What we are dealing with now are the 'unpaid bills' of the various denominations. The deterioration of the moral climate, the increases in cult membership and the number of cults are a direct result of the lack of evangelism during this century.
If committed Christians are busy preaching the gospel it has an effect of increasing the numbers. Education of the Bible doctrines would also keep most persons from joining wacky cults. Churches, particularly the Catholic church have been very lax in evangelism and education but are now awakening.
Revival is ongoing worldwide and we will see it here as other parts of the world have. This may be the last great revival before the millenial advent.
So, am I saying the 'dubs were right? No, not in the least, they have everything pertinent wrong but some of their ideas are close enough. The best lies contain some remnant of truth. They've been able to fog the naive, like other cults have. Satan has been at it a long time and he plays the world like a fiddle.

My family and I ahve been attending a Southern Baptist church for a year and a half, I am teaching Sunday School and doing substitute preaching on some Wed./Sun. night services. My relatives know about it, if anyone has ratted we haven't been approached yet. We are very visible, we wear 'Jesus shirts' lol, as I call them and crosses.
I have a very interesting presentation for the first one to stick his foot in the door........

How are you doing?
I see your point about polygamy and one would not be an adulterer unless I am missing something here. It would be interesting to see how common this type of thing was and when it ended.
Slavery was often as employment is today. 1/4 of the world population were slaves during the Roman era. Christianity in it's purest sense usually leaves the norms of society in place. The primary effort is on soul winning for eternal life and this life is only the means to get to 'glory'.
Was abortion practiced back then? Why would we destroy any life within a woman? Just caling it 'emryonic material' or a 'fetus' does not make it any less murdering babies. Do you know that the feminists claim it is 'not human' right up until it emerges? Yep, babies born premature and able to be saved are killed by the process! Did you see the pic of the operation on a mom who had a six month baby in her belly? The kid had his hand wrapped around a doctor's finger.Ah, the things that are done for a woman's 'comfort'.
Richard, you are asking questions revolving around different situations, comparing apples to oranges. You also fail to acknowledge that it is God who allows all deaths, but in a physical way only. Not acknowledging the immortal soul gives one a skewed view of judgement against individuals, tribes, nations and a whole world.

How Long Did the Transition Take?
by troubled ini was wondering, for those of you who have left the organization, how long did the transition take?
i mean, how long after you left did you feel up in the air, in turmoil, lost, unsettled?
long long before you felt comfortable with the decision and basically happy with your life?
-
Rex B13
Hi Troubled,
I knew right away it was the right thing to do. My only concern was for my family and friends because too many of them are still fogged in and won't leave.
We faded over the course of a few months, went to a Free Bible Student conference then wiht research decided that the hated 'Babylon the Grape' (kudos to Farkel) was right all along!
Born again and in salvation now.
May God bless you,
Rex
